Application

This product is alkyl modified polysiloxane, which can provide more reaction functional groups and longer Si-O chain length. Multifunctional reactivity plays a positive role in both the reaction with polymer and the reaction with filler surface; At the same time, the longer Si-O chain length provides better wetting effect, so the coupling effect of oligomers is further improved.

This product is suitable for filler modification. No matter dry or wet treatment, it has obvious advantages over traditional siloxane modification in dispersion, oil absorption value and fluidity, and will not affect the whiteness and original appearance of filler when used.

Compared with traditional modifiers such as aluminate, this product has the disadvantage of poor effect at high temperature. It can provide more stable dispersion and modification effect.

This product has no precipitation risk in the polymer system and has good performance retention. Compared with the commonly used aluminate or stearic acid on the market, there is a greater risk of precipitation, which will affect the appearance, printing and composite properties of products.

While improving the dispersibility, the product also maintains a certain reaction activity and can capture the free radicals or polar bonds of the polymer system, thus producing better coupling effect and improving the mechanical properties of the composite.

This product has good versatility, suitable for resin systems: PE, PP, PS, PC, AS, ABS, PVC, SBS, polyester, polyether, polyurethane, polyamide, polycarbonate and other thermoplastic, thermosetting resins and other elastomers.

This product is widely used in the modification of inorganic fillers, such as CaCO3, MgCO3, BaSO4, CaSO4, MgO, AL (OH) 3, talc powder, mica powder, lithopone, titanium dioxide, silica powder, pyrophyllite powder, sepiolite powder, carbon black, clay, bentonite, aluminum smelting red mud, iron red, chrome yellow, titanium cyanine blue, antimony trioxide, zinc metaborate, etc.

 

Usage method

When this product is used as an additive, the addition amount of siloxane is generally 0.5-3.0% of the formula amount.

For surface treatment of fillers and dry treatment, it is recommended to directly mix with fillers under high shear conditions, or add after diluting with appropriate solvent. During wet treatment, Jianyi is added to the slurry when the slurry temperature is above 60 ℃ and the slurry is stirred, or diluted with appropriate solvent to obtain better water solubility before adding.

The optimum dosage and production process for each application need to be obtained through experiments.
