The compatibility of acrylate leveling agent is an important index of its ability to control the surface state of the coating. Compatibility is too good, dissolved in the film, will not form a new interface on the surface of the film, can not provide leveling effect; poor compatibility, it is impossible to evenly distribute on the surface of the film, will gather together, easy to produce shrinkage defects. It will reduce the gloss of the film and produce adverse side effects such as fog and shadow. Only the ideal controlled compatibility can form a new interface layer on the surface of the film and play the role of leveling.
Acrylate leveling agents can not only promote the flow and leveling of the film, but also have the effect of defoaming. It can be used not only in oily coatings, water-borne coatings, but also in powder coatings.
