Why use water dispersant in paint? What role does water dispersant play in it?
Waterborne dispersant can make the pigments in the paint disperse evenly, improve the colouring power, covering power, gloss and leveling of the paint after forming the film, and also avoid floatation and blooming when mixing various colouring coatings. Polymer dispersants can quickly wet particles, disperse quickly and have good stability.
The anionic waterborne dispersant is suitable for dispersing inorganic pigments in waterborne coatings. It can be used as a dispersant, stabilizer and anti-settling agent for water-borne emulsifying coatings. It is non-foaming and can increase the amount of film defects and defoamer. At the same time, it can also reduce the grinding viscosity, improve the operability, maintain the stability of latex viscosity, and avoid the deposition and consolidation of pigments. If combined with non-ionic wetting agent, the best wetting and dispersing effect and good stability of avoiding color separation and floatation can be obtained.
These are some of the functions of water-borne dispersants. Do you understand them?
